Tell me something I have never heard before You’re always talking Telling me you know the score All that you know You’ve only heard it Strange to trust a stranger’s word Before you judge Make sure you know it Heresay will only get you so far So Tell me something I have never heard before You’re always talking Telling me you know the score Liars, wearing the crowns of the chosen Deceit and lies What’s inside your head Tired red eyes Learn to read instead Fool have no excuses Liars, wearing the crowns of the chosen Deceit and spite Try your hand at self flaggelation While the industry corrupts the ideals of our peers Words inside your head They’re not your own If there is a trend It seems you’ll follow Long way down Sure enough Tear it down Sure en- So we offends the apostle Lay down your life Help me anoint the appointed While the industry provides So Tell me something I have never heard before You’re always talking Telling me you know the score

Red Rose 07:25
Red rose Starving as she falters Dragging me down with her To the edge of the falls Dirty broken and led astray She lows Calling me to join her Cackling twisted heifer Towards the end of it all Barren bloodied and thrown away Yeah with bloodied brow And crooked smile I’ll walk away Though it’s better now And all the while I’ve learned to live Without you
3.
Blood of my blood Valiant soul Dust of my dust Come bear me home Trust in me I will not fail Even if I have to brave the throat of hell And it seems, it seems it should Be much easier than ever I thought it would Walk with me in hell my friend Together, we may well see the end And it seems, it seems it could Be much easier Don’t hide your face Sorrow Blood of my blood Valiant soul Dust of my dust Come bear me home

Shores 11:32
Can you take me to the shore, To bid farewell to those we knew? Can you lead me to the edge, To stare into the floundering glass? Will you tie me to the mast, And fill your ears with honeyed wax? Will you take me to the shore, So I can see his face? This beauteous reverie Churns in the deep waters below To see them smile again What must I do? Behind the veil the dancing figures beckoning to join them Shattered face a mockery of all that came before Tarnished halo Torn in two! Sunken grotto Bathe in you! As we fall We keep flailing Through the veil It keeps going Let the void Drag you in Let your husk Be drawn into the maw of the deep Can you take me to the shore, To bid farewell to those we knew? Could you bear me to the edge, To gaze into the writhing glass? Would you bind me to the mast, Unplug my ears of honeyed wax? Now their threads are cut I shall await my turn and then I know Back to the sandflats will I go
6.
Gift of Eyes 08:26
Light, filtered through bars Can’t conceal the stars Demented by the erudite scroll I correlate it all Halls carved in strange stone, The symmetry is wrong Thrown into this cell Entombed in waking hell Demented by the effort of it all Don't let me fall asleep Halls hewn in strange stone, The symmetry is gone Now the walls they grow and writhe I hear the wails of thousand lives Calling me there Anywhere’s better than here Now they seem to carry on To conclude their fateful song Calling me home Take my eyes for your throne Wrenching the macula brings no anguish Keeping these is all but useless Adorn the vitreous wreath with this gift of eyes Light Eyes on the inside This my gift to you Borne to spy the space between the veil and and all that we were meant to see

about

HOMECOMING's upcoming album 'Those We Knew' reveals the band's well-honed personality, fusing grunge, 90s rock and progressive metal. ‘Those We Knew’ showcases remarkable vocal work that guides the listener through various musical tableaux. The vocals adapt to the moods and unite the tracks, tying together the influences. Discovering ‘Those We Knew’, we can easily imagine Alice In Chains featuring Tool or Cult Of Luna. The gloomy, heavy, sometimes hushed 90s tones collide with endless imagination, peppered by ethereal atmospheres, enticing introspection.

According to The Obelisk, new single "Gift Of Eyes" is "kind of an album unto itself". He adds "Pairing the melodic singing and contorting riffery gives the track a particularly progressive feel even among its compatriots, and with lyrical mention of symmetry to boot".

According to Théo Alves Guiter (vocals/guitar), new song "Gift Of Eyes" is "a treatise of the hubris of which man is capable, the folly of attempting to grasp the infinite and the possibility of stumbling upon something far greater, as incomprehensible in its immensity as in its designs. Each glance demands a sacrifice, a gift".
